Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart-Griffin Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart-Griffin was the 56-36 winner over Taylorville when they last played one another back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taylorville Tornadoes on Thursday. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sacred Heart-Griffin now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Taylorville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart-Griffin will challenge Riverton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Taylorville, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against O'Fallon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
