Basketball Game Preview: Park Rangers vs. Jefferson Panthers

Two dominant guards in Coen Braham and Tyler Frydenlund are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Park Rangers will be playing at home against the Jefferson Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Park is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Lockwood on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Park was beaten by Lockwood 66-24. The Rangers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jefferson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 71-70 photo finish over Manhattan on Saturday.

Jefferson's win came from a few key players Park will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Frydenlund, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.5 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Stevens, who posted 12 points and seven boards.

Jefferson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Jefferson now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Park, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Park lost to Jefferson at home by a decisive 60-42 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Thankfully for Park, Dalton Noble (who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
