Recap: West Nottingham Rams vs. Springdale Prep Lions
The West Nottingham Rams had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 72-12 loss at the hands of Springdale Prep. While losing is never fun, West Nottingham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Springdale Prep is ranked 18th).
Springdale Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tarkan Bahcivanci, who scored 11 points. The contest was Bahcivanci's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Micah Massey, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
West Nottingham's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Springdale Prep, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
West Nottingham will head out on the road to face off against Rosedale Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springdale Prep, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mt. Zion Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. Mt. Zion Prep Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
