Soccer Game Preview: Kellogg vs. Quincy

The Kellogg Panthers will challenge the Quincy Orioles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Kellogg was the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Pennfield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kellogg.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Quincy). Their defense stepped up to hand Maple Valley a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Quincy, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Kellogg's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Quincy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
