Football Recap: Yorba Linda Victorious

Yorba Linda's tournament run continued when they took on Crean Lutheran on Saturday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Saints by a score of 34-21. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hayli McIlroy, who picked up 45 receiving yards and one TD, and also threw for 160 yards and one touchdown. Allyson Schmida was another key receiver, gaining 142 total yards.

Yorba Linda's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Crean Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Yorba Linda wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-19 defeat against Trabuco Hills on the 9th. As for Crean Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-12 victory against San Dimas on the 9th.
