Otis came tearing into Saturday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 68-28 victory over the Hi-Plains Patriots. With the Bulldogs ahead 44-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Otis was led to victory by Cambric Klinzmann and Charlie Kendrick. Klinzmann almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards, while Kendrick posted 13 points. Klinzmann is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 63% in the last four games he's played. Carter Benish also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Otis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive matches.

Hi-Plains' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Axle Lahm, who put up nine points along with five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Lahm a new career-high in shooting accuracy (44%). Gabe Harvie was another key player, putting up five points.

Otis pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. As for Hi-Plains, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Peetz will need to watch out since Otis has now posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Hi-Plains, they are taking a road trip to face off against Deer Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
