Basketball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Nevada Cubs and fell 83-55. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Cubs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Loss or not, Perry got some senior leadership from Owen Myers and Geren Kenney. Myers went 7 for 17 on his way to 22 points, while Kenney dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Kenney has become a key player for Perry: the team is 9-4 when he posts at least eight boards, but 2-3 otherwise. Gustavo Drahos was another key player, putting up nine points.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Nevada, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Perry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 88-32 win against South Hamilton on the 7th. As for Nevada, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-52 loss against Grand View Christian on the 7th.
