Volleyball Recap: Loyalton Takes a Loss

Loyalton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westwood Lumberjacks. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lumberjacks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Loyalton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 0-25, 25-0, 15-0.

Loyalton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Westwood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Loyalton has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Biggs on the 6th. As for Westwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Maxwell on the 6th.
