Volleyball Game Preview: Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks vs. Erie Red Devils

The Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks will head out on the road to take on the Erie Red Devils on Thursday. Jayhawk Linn has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with six straight losses, while Erie will come in with five straight victories.

On Tuesday, Jayhawk Linn came up short against Burlington and fell 2-0.

While Jayhawk Linn had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

While Erie didn't have the best season last year (they finished 17-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a set and slipped past St. Paul 2-1.

Erie had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-13, 25-23.

Jayhawk Linn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Erie, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Jayhawk Linn couldn't quite get it done against Erie when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Jayhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
