Baseball Recap: Wisdom Comes Up Short

Wisdom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 last Tuesday.

Wisdom saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Lang, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Lang also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Wisdom's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wisdom will welcome Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.56 runs per game on average), something the Generals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, they will challenge Cesar E. Chavez at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Lobos at the right time seeing as the Lobos are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
