Football Recap: Decatur Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Decatur unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 27-12 bruising from the Buckhorn Bucks on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Decatur lost, don't look at Quaylen Hampton. Despite the final result, he picked up 133 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Djone Rosario had an outrageously good game for Buckhorn as he rushed for 127 yards and two scores.

Decatur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 47-6 loss against Austin on the 29th. As for Buckhorn, they have also already played their next game, a 16-10 victory against Athens on the 29th.
