Soccer Game Preview: Beecher vs. Joliet Catholic

The Beecher Bobcats will face off against the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beecher knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Joliet Catholic likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Beecher took on Herscher on Thursday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Tigers. Beecher's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, Joliet Catholic brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They had just enough and edged out Westmont 5-4 on Tuesday. Joliet Catholic's winning goal came courtesy of Louis Czerkies.

Beecher has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those six contests. As for Joliet Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.

Beecher took their win against Joliet Catholic in their previous meeting back in October of 2021 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hilltoppers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
