Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Academy Heroes vs. Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors

For the second straight game, Heritage Academy will face off against Tri-City Christian Academy. The Heroes will take on the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Heritage Academy got the win against Tri-City Christian Academy by a conclusive 14-4.

David Mota was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Mota was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Heritage Academy's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Carson Grover was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Heritage Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Maxwell Layton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Heritage Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
