Soccer Game Preview: Pymatuning Valley vs. Open Door Christian

The Pymatuning Valley Lakers will be taking part in a tournament against the Open Door Christian Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pymatuning Valley is headed into Wednesday's match following a draw, the team's first since September 9. They and Edgewood finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Open Door Christian came up short against Mansfield Christian on Saturday, falling 12-3. Open Door Christian were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 10-3.

Aubrey VanWingerden and Claire Hepner scored all three of Open Door Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Pymatuning Valley's draw makes their record 8-5-3 this season. As for Open Door Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12-2 record this season.
