Football Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

After flying high against Community last Friday, Watertown came back down to earth. The Purple Tigers fell 35-28 to the Sequatchie County Indians on Friday. The Purple Tigers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Watertown's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Sequatchie County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Watertown and Sequatchie County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Purple Tigers see the field they'll take on Cascade at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Sequatchie County, their break will end when they face Community at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
