Myrtle gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 29-12 win over the Falkner Eagles. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Tucker Elliott threw for 109 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Drew Stanton was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards. On the ground, Jace Gibson rushed for 77 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

Although Falkner took the loss, they still got scores from Graydon Newby and Anthony Morgan.

Looking ahead, Myrtle will face off against Potts Camp at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Falkner, they will challenge Okolona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
