Preview: Tri County Trojans vs. Johnson-Brock Eagles

The Tri County Trojans will be home for the holidays to greet the Johnson-Brock Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tri County comes in on four and Johnson-Brock on 12.

Tri County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 66-28 win over Lewiston. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Tri County has managed all season.

Tri County can attribute much of their success to Drew Siems, who scored 15 points, and Caden Bales, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. The game was Bales' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jason Wehrman, who scored ten points.

Johnson-Brock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Diller-Odell 68-30 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-9.

Johnson-Brock's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Camden Dalinghaus, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Sloan Pelican, who scored 15 points along with six assists. That's the first time this season that Pelican scored 15 or more points. Austin Meyer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Tri County pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Johnson-Brock, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Tri County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 56.2 points per game. However, it's not like Johnson-Brock struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 66.2 points per game. The only thing between Tri County and another offensive beatdown is Johnson-Brock. Will they be able to keep them contained?

Tri County came up short against Johnson-Brock in their previous meeting back in February, falling 45-39. Can Tri County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
