Paulding lost to Montpelier back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Panthers breezed past the Locomotives to the tune of 51-14. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 31 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Estie Pease, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 11 points and six steals. Kate Manz was another key player, putting up eight points.

Paulding smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Montpelier, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paulding will be home for the holidays to greet Wayne Trace at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montpelier, they will welcome Holgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
