Baseball Recap: Huffman Takes a Loss

Huffman lost against Fultondale back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell 7-3 to the Wildcats. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Huffman got a good showing from Aden Brown, who tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Huffman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Craig, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one double. Craig has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Darius Hall also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Huffman's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Fultondale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huffman will face off against Jackson-Olin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fultondale, they will head out to take on Woodlawn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colonels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.62 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
