Softball Recap: Ridge View Blazers vs. Airport Eagles
Ridge View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 14-2 walloping at the hands of the Airport Eagles. Ridge View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Airport apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
For Airport's part, Avery Ingram was incredible, going 2-for-2 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Ashlyn Boozer was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Ridge View's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Airport, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridge View will challenge Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Airport, they will head out on the road to face off against Wagener-Salley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
