Basketball Recap: South Pittsburg Comes Up Short

South Pittsburg won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 70-40 loss at the hands of the Signal Mountain Eagles. The Pirates were down 47-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

South Pittsburg now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Signal Mountain, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Pittsburg will welcome Bledsoe County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Signal Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sand Rock at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
