Preview: Combine Academy National Goats vs. United Faith Christian Academy Falcons
The Combine Academy National Goats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the United Faith Christian Academy Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on December 9th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Combine Academy National was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy. The loss put an end to Combine Academy National's undefeated start to the season.
Meanwhile, United Faith Christian Academy faced Cannon in a battle between two of the state's top teams. United Faith Christian Academy took a 93-82 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cannon on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (69), United Faith Christian Academy still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was JD Bowden, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 assists. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Boyce Jr., who scored 26 points.
Combine Academy National's victory lifted them to 11-1 while Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy's loss dropped them down to 5-4.
