Softball Recap: Seton Catholic Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Seton Catholic came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the King's Way Christian Knights get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 on Tuesday.

Tegan Figueroa was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Grace Farrell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Seton Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as King's Way Christian only posted an OBP of .222.

Seton Catholic pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for King's Way Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

As of now, neither Seton Catholic nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
