Basketball Recap: Northwest Halifax Skates Past KIPP P with Ease

There's no place like home for Northwest Halifax, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 66-17 win over the KIPP P Pride. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Pride recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Northwest Halifax's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keyara Rook, who posted 31 points. Rook's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Alyssia Patterson, who scored 20 points.

Northwest Halifax's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for KIPP P, they are on a 35-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Halifax won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Northampton County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for KIPP P, they will welcome North Edgecombe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
