Basketball Recap: White Oak Takes a Loss

White Oak lost against Tatum back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The White Oak Roughnecks had to suffer through a 75-24 loss at the hands of the Tatum Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Roughnecks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1313th, while the Eagles are ranked 291st).

White Oak has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for Tatum, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sabine the next time they take the court. Tatum will host Sabine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while White Oak will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
