Normal University waltzed into their match on Tuesday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cyclones, too.

Normal University easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16.

Normal University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Jean Lehnen, who had nine digs and three assists. That's the most digs Lehnen has posted over her last eight matchups.

Normal University's win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9.

Coming up, Normal University will take on Williamsville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Riverton on the 8th.
