Recap: Meadow Bridge Wildcats vs. Paden City Wildcats

Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 16 to 5 on the offensive boards, a fact the Meadow Bridge Wildcats proved on Saturday. They walked away with a 38-26 win over Paden City. The win made it back-to-back wins for Meadow Bridge.

Meadow Bridge found their leader in underclassman Lily Hayes, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keirston Rozell, who scored six points.

Meadow Bridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Paden City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge will stay at home for another game and welcome Montcalm at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Paden City will take on Hundred at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Hundred is ranked 118th, while Paden City is ranked 119th).
