Baseball Recap: Organ Mountain Takes a Loss

Organ Mountain and Eldorado squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Organ Mountain had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 1-0. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Gera Delgado was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Organ Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10-1. As for Eldorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

While Organ Mountain had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
