Basketball Game Preview: Rainier Christian Mustangs vs. Summit Classical Christian School Archers

Rainier Christian is 0-3 against Summit Classical Christian School since January of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The Rainier Christian Mustangs will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Summit Classical Christian School Archers at 7:00 p.m.

Rainier Christian will head into Monday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune back in December of 2024. They had to suffer through a 76-36 loss at the hands of Auburn Adventist. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-19.

Meanwhile, Summit Classical Christian School couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 64-19 blowout they got against Tyee. The Archers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 34 points or more this season.

Summit Classical Christian School's win came from a few key players Rainier Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jake Gledhill, who went 11 for 19 on his way to 27 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Simon, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.

Summit Classical Christian School pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rainier Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Rainier Christian was taken down by Summit Classical Christian School 57-7 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gledhill, who posted 16 points and six rebounds.
