Football Game Preview: Bartlett Golden Bears vs. South Anchorage Wolverines

The Bartlett Golden Bears will challenge the South Anchorage Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bartlett is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Bartlett is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Service by a score of 9-2.

Bartlett didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Grant Togiola-Taimi. Deuce Alailefaleula was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 23 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, South Anchorage faced West Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolverines enjoyed a cozy 24-10 victory over the Eagles. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Eagles on their field since October 2, 2020.

Bartlett's record is now 7-2. As for South Anchorage, their record now sits at 8-2.

Bartlett came up short against South Anchorage in their previous meeting back in August, falling 14-7. Can the Golden Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
