Volleyball Recap: Brennan Falls Despite Big Games from Rubie Mares and Mia Nunez

Brennan lost against Harlan back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13, 24-26, 25-13.

Brennan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mia Nunez, who had 15 digs and four assists, and Rubie Mares, who had nine assists and seven digs. Nunez has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Brennan's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Harlan, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Brennan will head out to challenge Clark at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harlan, they will challenge O'Connor at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
