Baseball Game Preview: Medfield Warriors vs. Medway Mustangs

The Medfield Warriors will square off against the Medway Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Medfield is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Medfield didn't have quite enough to beat Westwood and fell 7-6.

Charlie Duggan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Nathan Bills was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Medway didn't have quite enough to beat Dedham on Wednesday and fell 7-6. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Marauders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jason Bedard was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Wilde, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Medfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Medway, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Medway's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Medfield has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Medway, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Medfield keep running through batters, or will the Mustangs buck the trend?
