Baseball Recap: Clint Sets Scoring Season-High Against San Elizario

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clint). Everything went their way against the San Elizario Eagles on Friday as Clint made off with a 14-3 win. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th.

The team relied heavily on Joe Aranda, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Clint: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 5-10-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Abraham Medina, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Clint was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February of 2024.

Clint's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10-1. As for San Elizario, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Clint and San Elizario will both be playing Fabens the next time they take the field. Clint will host Fabens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while San Elizario will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
