Basketball Recap: PikeView Victorious

PikeView hadn't done well against Woodrow Wilson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The PikeView Panthers walked away with a 53-46 win over the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Flying Eagles back in January, they had to take a 68-66 loss.

Woodrow Wilson's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Williams, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points and six boards. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Donya Burton was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
