Preview: Nevada Tigers vs. Carl Junction Bulldogs
The Nevada Tigers will face off against the Carl Junction Bulldogs at TBD on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Nevada had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 43-0 victory over Grandview on the road. Considering Nevada has won eight games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jack Cheaney had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. Cheaney really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Braden, who rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Carl Junction fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 17-7 victory over Harrisonville on Friday.
Nevada's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Carl Junction, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
