Soccer Recap: Madera Comes Up Short

Madera managed to keep up with San Joaquin Memorial until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Coyotes came up short against the Panthers, falling 5-1. Madera were not able to make up for their loss to San Joaquin Memorial from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Madera's goal came courtesy of Isaiah Fernandez, who's now up to seven this season.

Madera dropped their record down to 0-12-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for San Joaquin Memorial, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 7-11-3.

Coincidentally, Madera and San Joaquin Memorial will both be playing Hoover the next time they take the pitch. The Coyotes will head out to face the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
