Chickasha posted their closest win since April 9th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Purcell Dragons 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Fightin Chicks: when they faced off against the Dragons on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

The win made it two in a row for Chickasha and bumps their season record up to 19-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Purcell, with the loss, they broke their 14-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-8.

Chickasha has already played their next matchup, a 5-2 win against Ardmore on the 30th. Hopefully Purcell paid attention to the Fightin Chicks' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Fightin Chicks on Friday.
