Volleyball Recap: Ridgeview Panthers vs. Nease Panthers        
        
		
             Ridgeview lost against Nease back in September of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Ridgeview Panthers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-1), but sadly  the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
 The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 25-15,  27-25.
 Ridgeview's loss  came despite strong showings from  Payton Cannon and  Alyssa Herringdine.  Cannon  had eight  digs and five  aces, while  Herringdine  had 19  digs. Cannon is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted ten or more in the last 24 games she's  played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was  Emily McCrea, who  had six  digs and 11  assists.
 Even though they lost, Ridgeview  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 19  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least 11  aces in five consecutive  matchups.
 Leading Nease to victory were  Keerstin Brady and  Isabella Hayes.  Brady  had 24  digs, while  Hayes  had ten  digs and three  aces. That's the most  aces  Hayes has posted since  back in September of 2023.
 Ridgeview has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record  this season. As for Nease,  the  win snapped their losing streak at six games  dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record.
 Ridgeview will venture away from home to  challenge Beachside  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Nease, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-1  victory vs. Menendez on the 10th.
