Football Recap: North Mac Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If North Mac was riding high fresh off their 40-7 takedown of Litchfield/Mt. Olive last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers were outmatched by the Carlinville Cavaliers and fell 64-21. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

North Mac didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chase Millburg and Hank Hammann. Hammann is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Triston Thompson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Carlinville. Thompson didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended two passes. Tate Duckels also helped out with an impressive 96 receiving yards.

North Mac now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Carlinville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
