Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns vs. Fallbrook Warriors

For the second straight game, Rancho Buena Vista will face off against Fallbrook. The Longhorns will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Warriors at 10:30 a.m.

On Thursday, Rancho Buena Vista sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Fallbrook. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ty Lowry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rancho Buena Vista is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Anthony Fanelli was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Rancho Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Fallbrook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
