A Season-Best Effort from Ceasar Reyes Leads Garfield over South East
On Friday, Garfield got the W thanks in part to Ceasar Reyes playing the best football he has all season. Reyes rushed for 260 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards.
The win (which was Garfield's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Reyes and Garfield will challenge South Gate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, Bell got the W thanks in part to Erick Stubbs playing the best football he has all season. Stubbs rushed for 320 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.
For the season, Stubbs has run in 18 touchdowns while averaging 213.9 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had eight rushing touchdowns.

Edward Rivera's Big Game Can't Quite Lead South East over Garfield
Edward Rivera posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 250 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run.
If history really does repeat itself, Rivera might just drop another big game when he faces off against Roosevelt on Thursday. When Rivera last faced the Rough Riders back in September of 2023, he rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.
