Basketball Recap: Shanley Comes Up Short

Shanley lost against Fargo South back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Shanley Deacons fell 71-62 to the Fargo South Bruins.

Shanley's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Fargo South, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shanley will host Sheyenne at 7:15 p.m. on February 14th. Sheyenne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Shanley likes a good challenge. As for Fargo South, they will be playing at home against Fargo Davies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fargo Davies will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Fargo South surely won't give up without a fight.
