Softball Game Preview: Upper St. Clair Panthers vs. Western Beaver Golden Beavers

The Upper St. Clair Panthers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Western Beaver Golden Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Upper St. Clair is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Indiana. Upper St. Clair came out on top against Indiana by a score of 10-6 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Western Beaver made easy work of Freedom Area on Tuesday and carried off a 20-2 win.

Izzie Lefebvre (2025) made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lefebvre (2025) was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Western Beaver got a massive performance out of Bella Colatriano (2026), who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Zele (2025), who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
