Soccer Game Preview: Academy for Academic Excellence vs. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy

The Academy for Academic Excellence Knights will face off against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Academy for Academic Excellence turned things around against Excelsior Charter on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Eagles could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for the Knights as the squad haven't won a game since January 9th.

Isaac Murcia and Joshua Robinett scored both of Academy for Academic Excellence's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Excelsior Charter 3-2.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6-2 record this season. Academy for Academic Excellence's draw gives them a new season record of 4-8-3.

Academy for Academic Excellence came up short against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 2-0. Can Academy for Academic Excellence avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
