Basketball Game Preview: Faulkton Trojans vs. Warner Monarchs

Faulkton hasn't had much luck against Warner recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Faulkton Trojans will head out to square off against the Warner Monarchs at 8:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Faulkton lost to Leola/Frederick at home by a 74-55 margin. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Titans are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, Warner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Sully Buttes, falling 77-51.

Faulkton's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Warner, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Faulkton beat Warner 44-34 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Faulkton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
