Softball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss

Bloomfield lost against South Knox back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Bloomfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lila Koontz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Bloomfield now has a losing record of 7-8. As for South Knox, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Knox, they will square off against White River Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
