Volleyball Recap: Central's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

Central lost against Steele Canyon back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Spartans' undefeated start to the season.

Their offense was headlined by Sara Morales and Brianna Aguiar, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Maryanne Barrett and her 11 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Vogel, racking up two apiece.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 2-1. As for Steele Canyon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Central has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Clairemont on the 16th. As for Steele Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Santana on the 16th.
