Basketball Recap: Grand Canyon Takes a Loss

If Grand Canyon was feeling good fresh off their 42-17 takedown of Red Rock last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grand Canyon Phantoms were beaten by the Joseph City Wildcats 63-17 on Friday. The Phantoms were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.

Jaemie Jensen was Grand Canyon's leading scorer, having posted 15 points.

Joseph City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from April Neill, who went 8 of 9 on her way to 21 points and seven rebounds. Audrey Neill was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 11 points along with eight boards and three steals.
