Basketball Game Preview: Davenport Wolves vs. Navarro Panthers

The Davenport Wolves will square off against the Navarro Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Davenport knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Navarro likes a good challenge.

Davenport is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Wimberley just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 63-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Texans.

Meanwhile, Navarro hadn't done well against Fredericksburg recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Navarro walked away with a 44-37 victory over Fredericksburg.

Navarro's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Davenport, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 23-5.

Everything came up roses for Davenport against Navarro in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the team secured a 61-31 victory. Does Davenport have another victory up their sleeve, or will Navarro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
