Rustburg is 9-1 against Heritage since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Devils will square off against the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Things were looking good for Rustburg after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-2 to Liberty Christian. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to Amherst County. On the bright side, the three- run effort marked the Pioneers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Rustburg suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-4. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Rustburg took their victory against Heritage when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
